NA KIRI is a group of 10 (Ducth) people, 8 musicians (3 female, 5 male) and 2 dancers (1 female, 1 male). Our music is based on the traditional West-african rhythms, more specific from the Republic of Guinea (Conakry).
The members of the group are trained by several prominent Teachers in the area of West-african music from both Africa and Europe. Some members have studied the music at its roots by traveling to Guinea.

The basic instruments are the Djembé and the Doun-doun's, a set of three tuned bass-drums (doundumba, sanghban and kenkeni). Other instruments we use are the Balaphon, the Krinj, Kissi-kissi.
